Project Architect - Well-established Studio - £35-45k

HAYS are really pleased to be representing one of Belfast's most established architectural practices with their plans for growth, and appointing a talented Project Architect. This practice have been in business for well over 50 years throughout which time they have been involved in all sectors of the built environment. Their current encompasses covers student accommodation, hotels, healthcare, social/affordable housing and listed building projects .
Recognised as one of the leading practices in Northern Ireland they offer the opportunity to be involved commissions of all sizes and scales. This studio in particular should catch the eye of ambitious Project Architects, as size-wise their headcount of just over 10 offers both access to landmark projects, but also the opportunity to shine and quickly progress your portfolio.
As an established practice they have won many awards locally and nationally for their work including the Liam McCormick Prize for Building of the Year along with other prizes from the RSUA, RIBA, RICS and RIAI.
Your new role
You will join a team of technical and support staff with a range of experience and you will be mentored by a Senior Partner. Currently they are working on a number of large scale prospective schemes as well as new commissions in the leisure and high rise residential sectors, mostly in Northern Ireland however they are also heavily involved in a number of smaller scale retail and housing schemes.
As an Architect in this practice you will be given the responsibility to guide your own projects from stages 0 to 7.
Other responsibilities entail assisting Part 1 and 2 architects, providing conceptual input on assigned projects, liaising with external consultants, contractors and clients.
What you'll need to succeed
Our client are interested in speaking with all Architects who are Part 3 qualified and ideally possess experience in the commercial, leisure, hospitality, retail or large scale residential sectors.
It is expected that you will be competent in carrying out the full range of professional services and have working knowledge of NI / UK building regulations. Revit experience would be advantageous due to future pipeline, but isn't absolutely essential, what is more important is an all-rounder who can run jobs and think 'outside the box'.
