Are you looking for night shift work? Would you like a rewarding job making life more comfortable for young people who have learning disabilities?
You'll be a Support Worker at our children's home in the village of Wingrave, working with children and young people aged 11 to 19 who have autism and/or severe learning disabilities. You may have been a care worker or healthcare assistant before, but if not don't worry, you don't need experience - so long as you have the right approach, we can teach you the rest.
Working in one of our residential houses, you will be available during the night to provide physical support and emotional reassurance when young people are wakeful, checking at regular intervals to make sure they are comfortable and settled. You must be willing to provide personal care where needed, and you'll also undertake general chores during the night.
You'll work a 37.5 hour week over four nights, on shifts that run from 9.45 pm until 7.15 am.
Please bear in mind that our children's home is in a rural location, so you will probably need your own transport.
