The Saffron Walden branch is home to all things decorating and is Essex premier decorators merchant. They are stockists of Dulux Trade, Crown Trade, Armstead, Tikkurila, BEDEC, Zinsser and many more trusted trade paints. They also stock designer paints and have a full range of wallpaper collections. They offer a fantastic colour mixing service along with wood treatments, protective and specialist coatings and a complete range of decorators sundry items.

And the role

This fabulous opportunity is based in our Saffron Walden branch and you will be leading and developing a team, you will manage and motivate the team to achieve branch and company objectives which includes performance reviews, appraisals and disciplinary meetings. Gaining up-to-date knowledge of area developments and competitor activity, you will create, manage and develop a branch business plan and work with Management to agree the branch budget. Developing sales to agreed levels, through new and existing business, you will pro-actively market the business for the branch and control and where possible reduce costs by managing stock to agreed levels.

Delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, you will deal with customer queries, projects and complaints in a prompt and effective manner, consistently meeting customer requirements. You will build strong relationships with customers (both retail and trade) and suppliers, merchandisers and other partners and organise events and initiatives to promote good relations and sales development.

What were looking for

You will need a sound knowledge of the decorating industry with the tenacity to deliver objectives and achieve targets. You must also have the ability to identify new market and product opportunities and provide excellent customer service in accordance with our Customer Charter. This will require good communication both internally and externally.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

Knowledge of decorating products is desirable but not essential as full product training will be provided.
