Senior Legal Counsel

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join The London Clinic's busy Legal team on a part-time basis (3 days per week).
This is a highly visible role, where you will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Services team through the provision of technically accurate and pragmatic commercial contracts work. You will worke closely with colleagues to draft and negotiate effective agreements that align with our strategy and values.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing practical advice and guidance to the business in a range of substantive legal areas, such as general contracts, commercial law, tenders, claims, disputes and relevant legislation.
Job Type: This is a part-time, permanent position working 22.5 hours per week.
Salary: The attractive salary for this role is up to £85,000 per annum (pro-rata), and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
Manage a team of 3 with the Legal Counsel and Legal Support Executive reporting directly to you.
Advise Management of on-going contractual rights and obligations, provide clarification of contract terms and conditions.
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the organisation to ensure that legal advice is consistently sought by internal clients when needed. Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as suppliers and industry regulators.
Handle a wide range of commercial contracts from drafting through to negotiation and finalisation.
Skills & Experience
Be a UK qualified lawyer with at least 7 years' PQE*
Minimum of three years in-house General Legal Services experience in a hospital, legal, or other corporate administration setting
Strong interest in Healthcare and an understanding of the issues and business of an independent hospital
Ability to work with team colleagues across different disciplines, adapting to changing work areas and priorities and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
