A rapidly expanding Lloyd’s Syndicate are looking for a Claims Senior Advocate within their Property/Casualty claims team. It will involve handling International Property and Liability claims. Applicants should have extensive Claims Advocacy experience across Global Property and Liability. The ability to process Reinstatement Premiums would also be advantageous. This will be a hybrid role.Principal TasksManagement and control of complex Global Property & Liability claims and client Advocacy for Key Complex account in the international team – (Worldwide – focused on Asia Pacific – South/East Asia)High level Client advocacy with focus on key high profile International Clients.High level Client advocacy – working with key Global Re/Insurance Markets including Bermuda.Always working closely with Trading team and assisting with Renewal negotiations and a key member of the Trading proposition.In depth Understanding of Global Commercial Property and Liability / DBB Reinsurance/PDBI Reinsurance /Facultative RI coverage also related to Asia Pacific Territory.In depth understanding of Captive ManagementOn receipt of claim notification, identify risk, review details in conjunction with coverage/wording afforded, acknowledge to client/intermediary, prepare claims file accurately and promptly and maintain in-house and external computerised claims records.Producing claims information and presenting to reinsurers, either in written or networked format; and dealing with any resultant instructions, queries, and enquiriesMonitoring insurers’ agreement and payment of funds and ensuring that payment is made to the appropriate beneficiary.Identifying any potential errors and omissions if situations ariseReporting any claims difficulties immediately to managementEnsuring relevant insurer’s instructions are notified to Client/expert and vice versa.Building meaningful relationships with Clients, experts, Asian retail brokers and insurers by dealing with them in a prompt, friendly and professional manner alwaysEnsuring effective liaison with closing colleagues, including, where required, the maintenance and provision of claims statistics for renewal or similar purposes.Client Travel – Asia Pacific / BermudaKnowledge RequirementsA proven track record of claims advocacy expertise related to London Market and Global business.Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the relevant aspects of the Law of Agency and the Law of Contract to be able to perform the Principal TasksSufficient knowledge and understanding of the complex concepts of insurance to be able to perform the Principal TasksGood working knowledge of reinsurance class worldwide and other relevant insurance and regulatory procedures.
