Retail Sales Advisor

£18K - £25K Subject to Experience

To handle inbound and outbound personal insurance queries, new business, and renewals for, home, motor, small business, and travel insurance policies.

Training is thorough and on-going, and supported at all levels. The starting salary is very competitive, and all increases are directly linked to your commitment, learning and achievements within the role. The hours of business are Monday to Friday from 9am until 5.30pm and every other Saturday from 9am until 12pm

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Manage renewal of existing customer policies in-line with diary system to achieve targeted 85% renewal retention monthly
  • All forms of daily customer queries and correspondence including new business, mid-term adjustments and renewals and their subsequent follow-up
  • Full understanding and confidence in product portfolio; motor, home, travel, and simple commercial risks
  • Full knowledge and understanding of the SSP system for client data and risk retention.
  • Development and growth of personal lines products within the existing customer base
  • Further canvassing of new, existing, and previous clients for commercial opportunities
  • Target: 15 qualified canvassed leads per month
  • Added value sale of policy add-ons
  • Representation at external business networking

Requirements

  • Fast learner and a passion for customer service
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • IT literate
  • Full UK licence and own transport would be a benefit
  • Previous retail or telephone sales experience would be a benefit
  • Minimum 6 months Insurance experience
