Role Purpose

Working in a fast paced environment, reporting into the Resourcing Manager, you will be responsible for the end to end recruitment process, working with hiring managers to source and pipelining talent across a broad range of functional and operational areas. Working with the Resourcing Manager and Recruitment Consultant you will identify and implement appropriate sourcing strategies, including the promotion of direct sourcing.

This is a 3 month Fixed Term Contract.


  • Manage all recruitment activity including; candidate generation, candidate screening, assessment and selection, stakeholder management and offer management for roles up to and including senior management roles in line with Mitie's Resourcing processes and policies.
  • Work with Hiring Managers and/or Resourcing Manager to understand specific or ongoing hiring needs and position specifications and implement the appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct initial screening and shortlisting.
  • Advising and supporting managers in selecting the appropriate job profiles, job banding, terms and reward package for roles up to senior management.
  • Where required supporting the Resourcing Manager to complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments, including proactive project management of recruitment for bids / mobilisations, increase to BAU vacancies due to business growth / contract awards.
  • Make recommendations to the Resourcing Manager for continuous improvements.

What we are looking for

  • Proven recruitment experience, ideally within a large complex, commercial, multi-divisional organisation - whether this is within an agency, RPO provider or corporate environment.
  • Experience in being accountable for the full recruitment lifecycle - ensuring authorisation compliance, advising on job descriptions, candidate sourcing, senior stakeholder management and engagement, assessment (where applicable), offer management and candidate feedback.
  • Experience of using Applicant Tracking Software (ATS).
  • Solid and up to date knowledge of recruitment principles, practices and employment legislation.
  • Commercially aware, understanding the impact and bigger picture of recruitment on the business.
  • Highly results-orientated with demonstrable success, achieving and exceeding challenging targets both personally and through others.
  • Solutions oriented, providing explanations and proposed resolutions to problems rather than purely identifying problems.
  • Engaging communicator demonstrating influencing skills and an ability to adapt approaches to differing audiences.
  • Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality.

Additional Information

Reporting to Resourcing Manager.

Currently the Resourcing Team have a flexible working pattern involving home and office locations.
