Full Time Contract (3 Months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Purchasing Officer in Slough. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

• Source and negotiate prices for services within agreed budget parameters
• Administer and keep up to date electronic records of all contacts made with individuals, providers and social care and healthcare staff
• Liaise with social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, CPNs and other professionals to ensure care and support plans, and necessary funding permissions/authorisations are provided prior to the start of an individual's placement or package of care.
• To evaluate the outcomes from the purchasing activity and enact agreed improvements.
• To record purchasing activity. Records to include maintaining electronic log of purchasing activity, negotiations and correspondence

The candidate:

• Experience working in a procurement capacity is essential
• Good MS Office skills
• Experience working in the public sector is desirable
