The Goal
What you’ll be doing
As the Product Director, you will be accountable for the product vision and roadmap across Digital and Retail delivering a successful product solution and an attractive ongoing roadmap to OpenBet customers.
You will manage a team of Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts based in UK and Athens. Additionally, you will work closely with commercial, engineering and individual OpenBet customer contacts and stakeholders around the world.
You should have an exceptional background in Sports betting and deep knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape across the world. You will have experience on Product Management as well as implementing product solutions at large scale customers. You will have experience of a digital Sports betting environment. You must demonstrate knowledge of sports betting globally across key sports and be educated in what makes digital Sportsbooks successful and how effective product management strategies work in driving sports betting revenue.
You will be working as part of the senior sportsbook leadership team and must combine your first class product management background with a well-rounded understanding of the commercial considerations in operating digital and retail sports businesses. You will be a first-class presenter and will ensure that our customers as well as the senior leadership team receives detailed and insightful analysis of product status on a consistent basis.
You will evolve the solution to be the world leading sports betting product.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving and delivering a product roadmap that puts OpenBet’s product solution on the leading position
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering ongoing value through the product iterations
- Ensure successful onboarding of new customers
- Providing the VP, Sportsbook Product and OpenBet Executive team with insight into digital and retail products as well as analytics and competition benchmarking
- Leading Sportsbook customer discussions on product priorities in a way that the overall Product Release Roadmap and Planning across all customers is safeguarded with minimal bespoke work carried over to the Programme
- Working collaboratively with product development and delivery ensure that the customer proposition is best in class in the market
- Generate culture within product team for data-driven insight and analysis
- Provide effective management of a product team in multiple locations, ensuring that decision-making within the team is optimal at all times
- Ensure Product Managers specify initiatives and features in the most optimal way that contributes to the product investment and meets the customer needs
Accountable for
- Feature delivery in alignment with contractual obligations
- Delivering the committed value to the Digital and Retail product
- Working closely with Engineering and Commercial operations globally
- Product roadmap and execution
- Ensure capturing project requirements and delivering scope
- Engage with customers on an ongoing basis with regards to feature delivery and roadmaps
- Representation for product at senior executive level and providing input and insights to all other related departments
The Player
What you’ll bring
- Solid knowledge of the Sports betting market (digital and retail), regulatory dynamics and sports betting product ecosystem
- Understanding of Sports player experiences and operators business drivers
- Excellent relationship and presentation skills at C – level
- Ability to manage, communicate and present at senior executive and board level Data driven
- Be commercially experienced and show thorough understanding of what drives specific sportsbook KPIs
- Exceptional background and understanding of sports betting at a global level
- Ability to interact and influence product and marketing teams
- Experience and strong understanding of retail and/or casino sportsbook environment
- High attention to detail and process-driven in running projects and change initiatives
- A dynamic leadership figure
