Role : PPM Engineer
Planned Preventative Maintenance

We work closely with many industries such as government, healthcare, education, retail and the aviation industry. Our services in the hard sector include, Electrical and mechanical maintenance, building services, fire safety, and compliance.
We are seeking a PPM Engineer to work on commercial properties within a local authority contract. Your work will be across South East London working across a range of public buildings such as youth centres, libraries, care homes and commercial & industrial properties.

Overtime Mon Fri 1.5 x normal hourly rate
Sat prior to 12.00 pm 1.5 x normal hourly rate
Sat after 12.00 pm 2 x normal hourly rate
Sun & bank holidays all day 2 x normal hourly rate

Key Duties:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on council-owned buildings and facilities.
- Emergency lighting checks, fire alarm checks, flushing taps, water temperature checks.
- Identify and report faults or potential issues before they escalate into major repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records and update maintenance logs in line with contract requirements.
- Ensure health & safety compliance, following council regulations and risk assessment protocols.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for parts and specialist repairs when necessary.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests as part of a reactive repair team if required.
- Conduct energy efficiency checks and recommend improvements where applicable.
- Communicate effectively with council representatives and site managers to ensure smooth operations.
