PCV / HGV Mechanic
Location: Bourton on the Water, Gloucestershire
Salary: £17 – £30 per hour + Excellent Benefits
Full-time, Permanent, Monday – Friday (35 – 50 hours)
The Client:
Our client, a respected family-run transport company, providing excellent bus services spanning across UK and Europe.
The Role:
As a Mechanic / Fitter, you will inspect, diagnose, and maintain a fleet of PCV vehicles, including buses, coaches, vans, and cars.
Duties:
- Identify faults in PCV vehicles using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct road tests on buses and coaches (license required or training provided).
- Ensure precision in maintaining PCV mechanical and engineering records.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, HGV Fitter or in a similar role.
- HGV or PCV mechanic / technician certification and 1 year experience.
- Prior expertise in vehicle repairs and maintenance, preferably with HGVs, PCVs, or Buses.
- City and Guilds qualification, Level 3 NVQ, or its equivalent.
- Full Driving licence (Car, HGV or PCV).
