About the store

Specsavers in Haverhill first opened its doors in 2004. The store sits in a prominent position on the main high street and is firmly embedded within the local community, with a huge market share of 80% through their established NHS and private services!

The store boasts 5 test rooms – all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology including OCT – meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards.

A team of 20 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home, and as the new Optometry Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required. The store also offers enhanced clinical services such as GRR, pre and post cataract care and minor eye care.

You would be joining Raju Fynn who has been with Specsavers in Haverhill since its opening and Raju is really looking forward to gaining an Optometry Partner to help build on the great work already done and drive the business forward so that it flourishes for many years to come.

The store is located in the bustling market town of Haverhill, on the edge of the Stour Valley. Whilst in Suffolk, the town also borders Essex and Cambridgeshire. It lies 14 miles southeast of Cambridge, and is commutable from Ipswich, Peterborough and Bedford. Access to the M11 is nearby and the A1 is around 33 miles from the town.

Requirements of the role

Alongside being an experienced Optometrist with experience in a retail environment, the right person for this position will be confident, possess a strong worth ethic and a willingness to succeed. You’ll be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced environment. You’ll be willing to go the extra mile for customers and someone who encourages their team to do the same.
