What you'll do
Join Vodafone as a Fibre Planner! In this role, you'll plan and manage Vodafone's Fibre Network for Customer Delivery, Core Projects, and Diversionary Works. You'll collaborate with internal teams for customer feasibility and costings, validate and manage build orders, allocate fibres, and ensure compliance. You'll also update inventory and order management systems while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
For diversionary works, you'll handle costing requests, liaise with authorities, manage fibre allocation, and ensure compliance. In core projects, you'll validate costing requests, manage fibre allocation, and process development site enquiries. Additionally, you'll foster good relations with internal and external partners, perform surveys, designs, and other tasks as needed. Be part of a dynamic team driving Vodafone's network excellence!
Who you are
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Expert user of Microsoft Office Packages (outlook, excel & word)
- Proven understanding knowledge and experience of telephony distribution systems
- Proven understanding knowledge and experience of civils construction practice and regulations (NRSWA)
- Proven understanding of Wayleaves and Easements.
- Proven understanding knowledge and experience of the Telecommunications code
- Proven understanding knowledge and experience of CDM & relevant H&S regulations
- Proven understanding knowledge and experience of Diversionary Works COP
- Proven experience of Auto cad (or other GIS software)
- Proven experience of the role or similar role within a telecoms build environment.
- Full valid driving licence.
- Familiarity with databases and their use
- HNC or equivalent in an Engineering or Planning discipline
