Here at the ''The Federation of Independent Retailers'', more commonly known as "The NFRN", we serve a membership of over 11,000 independent retailers representing 15,000 shops across the UK and The Republic of Ireland. We are a very forward thinking, membership led organisation with 100 years of history. In our new head office in Durham we have the facilities to match our ambition and the people to make our ambitions a reality.

So where and how will you fit in?

Our new Membership Development team will love engaging with our members and potential members to actively grow our membership numbers and participation in fantastic money saving services we offer. Helping them, save money, make money and making it easier to do business. Being part of our membership gives them access to a range of benefits, resources and support that can deliver our members an annual saving of around £4,000. This will be the team you lead and motivate to achieve our growth plans for 2021 and beyond.

What does a day of a National Development Manager look like?

Well, there are never two days the same but in general you will be; coaching and motivating the team to deliver on our revenue and membership growth targets. Helping them to identify new prospects, opportunities, providing guidance where and when required. Talking to our members and ensuring we deliver a great membership experience to all of them. Constantly looking at our marketplace and actively seeking new opportunities to improve our competitive advantage. This and a whole lot more

Who are we looking for?

A leader, motivator and experienced field sales professional. Proven track record in leading a team(s) to achieve stretching targets whilst developing and maintaining productive relationships. Proven track record of developing others and increasing field team capability is a must for this role.

We offer very competitive terms and conditions including a company car, mobile phone, pension, attractive holiday allowance, salary plus an annual bonus scheme.
