Based in North Yorkshire with flexible working, our client is a trend led retailer who have demonstrated consistent growth, and are looking for a Head of Marketplace to join the team.

In the position of Merchandiser, you will be responsible for: ?

• Produce reliable and timely sales forecasts for SKUs & categories at market level
• Manage continuous product reviews, including the robust analysis of category & SKU performance
• Implement the correct infrastructure and best practice when delivering new product surrounding budget, capacity, intake and seasonality awareness
• Measure daily and weekly sales across; cover, stock position, rate of sale, margin across your trading options
• Create Weekly Sales & Stock Intake plans ensure & optimise availability, intake and stock levels in line with business needs.
• Optimise product & category performance, from demand, markdown, stock, intake and returns.
• Ensure best sellers reach their full potential
• Identify poor performing lines and over stock issues and make recommendations to drive sales
• Forecast, analyse and action commercial data to be able to react to trading opportunities / trends in performance to shape the trading plan in season
• Understand how to push campaign lines with website coverage
• Analysis of category & SKU performance each season to improve product performance, rate of sale and proposition development
• Working closely with Supply chain team to identify & manage any risks to the commercial strategy
• Monitor competitor websites and market trends, making recommendations to improve proposition
