Role Description
The Global Value function is tasked with identifying, measuring, and reporting all areas of value delivered by Mediabrands to our clients. The Managing Partner (MP), Global Value & Investment is a senior client leadership role, and part of the Global Value leadership teams. As MP you will be responsible for delivering the value product across UM clients, as well as global strategic and integrated investment solutions.
Your remit is across all UM clients, across multiple geographies including Europe, LATAM, Asia and North America.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
As Manager Partner you will develop and maintain close relationships with the following stakeholders.
- Global Managing Director, Growth & Operations & Global Chief Value Officer (CVO)
- UM Global & Regional Client Leadership
- UM Global & Regional Growth team
- IPG Mediabrands Global Client Finance leads
- IPG Mediabrands Legal leads
- Country Trading leads and Heads of Media
- Magna Regional & Global hub teams
Key Responsibilities
Client Value Management
Leading a team of value specialists, the MP acts as a trusted advisor to UM clients and UM leadership by:
- Implementing a consistent global value frameworks that delivers results.
- Demonstrating proactivity and expertise in daily value operations.
- Work with UM client account leads, acting in a consultant capacity to advise all Value related topics (including but not limited to Inflation, budgets, audits, value methodology etc).
- Working closely with local countries to steward value, proactively addressing challenges across countries.
- Ensuring a consistent, systems based, process is applied across all countries and LOBs. Identifying system development requirements and briefing to relevant team.
- Leading content creation for, and participating in, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Leading relationships with third-party consultants and auditors.
- Work closely with key priority client contacts to report and expand the Magna Value product.
- Oversee your team’s key objectives in cost tracking and reporting across a range of markets. These key objectives include briefing of data requests to local teams, checking data for accuracy, analysing results, and working with the local teams to capture all value.
- Oversee the on-boarding of new red stream clients.
- Contribute, as part of the Global Value team leadership team, in developing additional Value measurement to enhance the broader Value product.
Global Strategic Investment
Working with global and local investment specialists, the MP builds relationships with senior client stakeholders and adds value in three areas:
- Global Investment Advisory: responsible for sharing global investment trends, developing thought leadership, and presenting regional and global investment strategies to clients.
- Global Investment Stewardship: building cross-market investment strategies to drive value, agility and innovation, instituting stewardship techniques to ensure global investment consistency, on boarding new countries seamlessly.
- Global Partnerships: elevating global media partner relationships to drive unique client opportunities and innovation.
Team Management
Building and retaining a diverse and agile team by:
- Leading a team of value and investment specialists to enable them to deliver against client goals.
- Prioritizing growth within the team by defining roles, goals and driving education agendas.
- Managing performance by embracing Magna’s regular feedback culture.
Desired Skills & Experience
- You have a background in Investment Trading or Media Auditing/Consulting
- You have strong negotiation skills – Proven experience negotiating in difficult circumstances
- Strong analytical skills – has the ability to “dive deep” but also extract macro level trends
- You have strong project management and creative problem solving skills
- You approach challenges with enthusiasm and motivation, and lead with integrity, honest and trust
- You have experience of building strong relationships with senior level clients and colleagues, and influencing key stakeholders
- You have demonstrated experience in leading and motivating a diverse team
- You have experience of leading new business, growth projects
