This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced individual to manage the organisation's finances, combining both day-to-day financial tasks and strategic planning. The role is hands-on and reports directly to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end closing processes.
- Manage intercompany billing and reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including budgets.
- Present financial reports to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist the Finance Manager in implementing and completing assigned tasks.
- Produce financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes.
- Manage tax and banking-related matters.
- Support audit projects and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle official statutory reporting.
- Oversee the Invoice Discounting facility, including day book entries and reconciliations.
- Perform ad hoc treasury, purchase ledger duties, and reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and manage store reconciliations.
- Provide financial insights to inform business decisions.
- Develop strategies to reduce business costs and improve efficiency.
- Oversee financial systems and procedures, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage income and expenditure to ensure alignment with budgets.
- Supervise accounting colleagues and assist with general accounting tasks.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and present financial information to non-finance personnel.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Experience in the retail or wholesale industry is desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Proven experience working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong time management and planning abilities.
- Highly organised and capable of prioritising tasks effectively.
