Thera East Anglia has an exciting opportunity available for a Male Support Worker to join our team in Brundall. You will join us on a permanent basis, with full-time, part-time and relief hours available. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £11.35 per hour.

About the role:
As a valued Male Support Worker with Thera East Anglia, you will be part of an inclusive team supporting adults with a learning disability. You will help create innovative ways to support individuals achieve their own personal goals, aims and ambitions. The support you provide will change with everyone you work with because everyone is different.
The ideal candidate would be a young male, have an interest in weight training and keeping fit. Who also has excellent communication skills and happy to engage. The gentleman we support enjoys a lie in, therefore the shift times would normally be during the afternoon and evening, although flexibility to work longer days will be needed on occasion.
Currently, the gentleman needs support on Wednesday, Friday and Sundays but again, this can be flexible and discussed at interview.
The gentleman we support would like to move on to more independent living so if successful, you will play a vital role in his journey.
Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, employment, individual interests and travel. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role.
You maybe be supporting people in their own home or out and about in their community.

What do you need to become our Male Support Worker?
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Flexibility to work long days and sleep-in shifts
- No previous experience or qualifications required, Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
- Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter, with a high level of motivation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional
