The role sits within the Workforce Development team which is part of Retail Bank COO. You would be an active part of the Operational Communications and Knowledge Management team, helping to inform and evolve our Knowledge Management strategy in addition to leading tactical improvements through experimentation.

You'll have the chance to work with lots of cross-divisional teams - working particularly closely with the Retail Bank business teams, Group Transformation and change teams. There are plenty of chances to create broad relationships and add to your network.

About you...

  • Key to this role is understanding how our customer serving colleagues work and what knowledge support they need to do their jobs well so you'll:

  • Be curious about knowledge standard methodologies, knowledge systems, how they work and how we can utilise what they have to offer, so that we can improve the colleague experience.

  • Be a storyteller, able to build a compelling story to influence and gain the support of senior executives and decision makers for future opportunities.

  • Be passionate about improving the colleague and customer experience, building your own knowledge using internal and external research to create powerful visual presentation packs to tell our story.

Some of your accountabilities will be:

  • Being the 'go to' point for Knowledge Management principles and tools, whilst contributing to the evolving design and delivery of knowledge and information for colleagues.

  • Influencing and presenting the strategic vision for Knowledge Management to help make messages clear and simple, gaining support, through highly effective succinct executive presentations.

  • Owning the development of experiments, working with key collaborators within and outside of our department, to drive continuous improvement.

Experience in the following areas will help you to be your best in this role:

  • An understanding of the Retail Bank and how colleagues operate to serve our customers effectively.

  • A growth mindset with a love for exploring how new technologies can help us build a better colleague experience.

  • An ability to engage with colleagues across the business, including building and delivering high quality, accurate and visually appealing presentations.

  • Leading experiments and initiatives from concept to post implementation review.

  • Can work in ambiguous circumstances and drive progress at pace, including the ability to plan and prioritise work.

  • Great collaboration and influencing skills to ensure colleagues and customers are always at the heart of our solutions.

Location & Ways of Working:

Our team is spread all across the country, and we're currently hybrid workers spending our time largely at home, but travelling occasionally with purpose. Travel will be organised with plenty of notice, so travel and arrangements can be made. The role can be done flexibly, based within any location where you're able to work at your best.
