Please be aware this is a fixed term contract for 12 months. The HR Advisors this role will manage and lead are based in the South of England. We can be flexible on the location for this position.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Human Resources team as a HR Business Partner on a fixed term contract basis.
Cats Protection is the UK's leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2019 we helped around 191,000 cats and kittens, an average of more than 520 per day.
The HRBP Team support and coach people managers across the whole organisation, from our front line operational cat work and retail network to central departments including Veterinary and Income Generation. We play a key role in application of people policies, employee relations case work, contribution to key project work and operational and strategic planning, and maintaining effective relationships with our customers.
As the HR Business Partner you'll be providing generalist HR advice and guidance to management and colleagues at all levels. You'll be responsible in coaching, guiding and advising managers in performance management and employee relations ensuring HR matters are effectively dealt with. You will provide responsive, high quality specialist advice supporting managers on all aspects of the Human Resources function. You'll share responsibilities and ownership for decision making involving people issues. You will be leading, coaching and managing a team of two HR Advisors who are based in the South of England. You'll manage the team to ensure all performance objectives are met and continued professional development is kept current and up to date.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in a senior role handling a wide range of employee relation issues including grievance and disciplinary situations. You'll have experience of managing a heavy and fluctuating workload and have proven experience of working on your own initiative. You'll also have strong experience in line managing a remote team.
