We are currently looking for a Head of Security Controls and Architecture who will s upport the CISO in setting Information Security and Risk Management Strategy across the organisation globally , e nsure a consumable controls library including patterns and templates is available to all JD business and technical entities and that the controls align with the JD Sports control framework and applicable Information security policies , and l ead, motivate, mentor and oversee the JD Sports Information Security Architecture capability.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Head of Security Strategy Controls and Architecture , you’ll be doing the following:
Collaborate, closely with the CISO to set and oversee the global, business-wide implementation of Information Security and Risk Management strategy.
Lead quarterly progress reviews that evaluate strategy, adoption in the context of predetermined schedules and ensure appropriate action , setting and follow-up to achieve published and agreed goals.
Monitor the dynamic threat landscape in which JD sports operates end s et the strategic direction of Information Security improvement initiatives to neutralise, such threats, and apply information security practices to recognised industry, best practice.
What We’re Looking For:
- Comprehensive knowledge of information security controls and the primary control frameworks currently recognised as examples of best practice (CIS, NIST, ISO etc.),
- Application of a process driven approach with a sound understanding of information security architecture, and a track record of effective architecture leadership and delivery ,
- Familiarity with engagement in and management of a multiple simultaneous information, security initiatives.
- A clear understanding of information security risk a nd the role of information security controls mitigating such risks to bring them within agreed risk appetites,
- Awareness of Agile environments and practices,
- Awareness of the predominant operating systems within the retail sector , including but not limited to Windows, Linux , and Unix,
