Head of Social Value

This is an exciting opportunity within Capita Pension Solutions to work closely with two of our key clients on our social value proposition.
We are looking for an experienced Social Value professional who will support the business to understand, implement and embed best practice in the inclusion of social, environmental and economic value.
As the Head of Social Value, you will use your knowledge and expertise to achieve our social value commercial commitments and continually promote best practice. You will lead discussions with clients, key sub-contractors, as well as establishing local community partnership engagement and mobilisation. This will require providing advice, training, developing processes, procurement, third party engagement and regular reporting to multiple internal and external stakeholders.
What will you be responsible for:
- Lead the client approach to capturing, measuring and reporting on progress by devising and monitoring performance dashboards.
- Own the development and application of guidance, training and ways of working in relation to the social value.
- Lead on the data capturing for social value commitments and develop a social value partner ecosystem.
- Develop a coherent social value picture of potential commercial opportunities and risks.
- Promote and support social value understanding, skills and capability development across the Division.
- Contribute to business development activity including bid submissions and identify opportunities for future initiatives.
- Support the promotion of social value achievements and embed the commitments into the culture of the operating model by personally setting the standard for Social Value enthusiasm and inspiring others through your proactive leadership.
- Accurately manage budgets in relation to the delivery of social value.
- Maintain working knowledge of the social value agenda and continuously develop in line with best practice and maintain an annual plan reflecting local/national context and client priorities.
- Have the flexibility to travel to different locations which may incur working outside of core hours to influence and develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of other social value projects as required.
What are we looking for:
- Deep expertise in Social Value models and measurement techniques, and experience implementing a social value measurement and reporting tools.
- Sound knowledge of the principles, theories and frameworks of social value, as well as the relevant policies, standards and regulations.
- Project management experience, with proven ability to successfully lead social value projects from initial strategy through tactical implementation.
- A detail orientation and a passion for delivering high quality results.
- Be an excellent communicator with the ability to network and engage with people at all levels.
- Proven excellence in business partnering with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ability to build positive relationships with key client counterparts to understand requirements and support reporting.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of Office 365 applications and a willingness to use software packages that are unfamiliar.
