About Our Client

Michael Page is working with a innovative food manufacturer to recruit a Head of Product Development. This Greater Manchester based organisation supplies it’s products to major retailers throughout the UK.

Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

• Strategically identify the most promising market segments for our brands, with an eye for scalability, consumer trends, and needs
• Direct a broad team of external professionals, including those in Production, 3rd Parties and Commercial roles, to achieve collective success
• Collaborate extensively with a cross-functional team across Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Finance departments
• Propel innovation projects through our Gate process, ensuring alignment at the Executive level and securing the necessary resources
• Keep abreast of global market trends and technological advancements to strategically inform our product development pipeline

The Successful Applicant

The successful Head of Product Development will possess the following:

• Minimum 5years experience in a product development role within an FMCG or comparable brand centric organisation
• Demonstrable experience in introducing major innovative products to the market which have achieved scale
• Commercially astute with the ability to bring profitable ideas to fruition
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with retailers
• Ability to work on own initiative with high level of personal accountability
• Proven innovation expertise including strategy formulation, business case creation and market introduction
