The trust on behalf of Elms Bank School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, dedicated and highly motivated Head of Nurture. The successful candidate will join a team of exceptional professionals working with our pupils, whose barriers to learning can include physical difficulties, social communication difficulties, Autism, speech, and language difficulties. Pupils are best supported to achieve their potential through a creative teaching style, which enables them to engage in and explore the curriculum. You will be part of an exceptional team and will be provided with extensive support to ensure that you develop to your full potential both in this role and beyond.
Our pupils are aged 11 to 19 years, with a diverse range of learning disabilities (PMLD, SLD, MLD, SEMH), combined with medical conditions, physical disabilities, visual impairment, hearing impairment, and/ or autism.

This post would be particularly suitable for an outstanding teacher who has experience of teaching pupils working below National Curriculum Level 4. Teachers would be expected to demonstrate that they are competent in using a range of teaching strategies to engage and develop pupils’ understanding to ensure that they reach their full potential.
