About the role
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team for a 12 month maternity cover. Reporting into the Group Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the monthly Management Accounts for the Group (EMEA, North America & APAC), as well managing the month end timelines.
We are looking for a motivated self-starter, with knowledge and experience of both retail and ecommerce transactions and reconciliations. Responsible for the maintenance of balance sheet and month end reconciliations.
As a Group Management Accountant you will
- Ownership and management of month end process for the Group, ensuring adherence to Month end deadlines.
- Preparing and distributing the Group management accounts and providing timely and relevant group reporting.
- Responsible for maintenance of overseas accounting ledger and statutory account preparation in collaboration with relevant accounting firms to ensure compliance.
- Complete turnover rent submissions and lead turnover certificate audits for UK stores.
- Conduct variance analysis reporting and liaise with stakeholders across the business
- Assist with the year end audit process, and other compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations for various areas including Supplier rebate provision and intercompany
- Support Group Reporting Manager with implementing key internal control processes across the Group. Assisting in policy creation and process mapping documentation as required.
- Assisting with ad hoc finance projects
About you
- Part Qualified Accountant (or above) - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of UK Accounting Standards
- Month end process experience is essential
- Retail Experience
- Must have demonstrable experience of implementation of processes
- Advanced excel skills (VLOOKUP's, Pivot tables, Sum If etc.)
- Flexible & proactive, with an eagerness to learn
- NetSuite experience is desirable
