About Our Client
The client is a small retail brand that produces luxury jewellery. They are a well-established, family-owned brand that is keen for a Group Accountant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Head of Finance in a very small team of 2. The successful candidate will also be working very closely with the CEO and Owner of the business to help manage the company's finances and drive the team forward.
Job Description
The successful Group Accountant will:
- Oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the finance team, including all bookkeeping for the business.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and manage the end-to-end monthly and yearly close.
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
- Report to the Head of Finance with timely and accurate financial information.
- Assist the Head of Finance in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Group Accountant will:
- Have approximately 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in an SME.
- Be qualified by experience or an ACCA/CIMA finalist.
- Have prior experience working in a retail/fashion/FMCG business - heavily preferred.
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Have strong Excel skills.
- Be happy to work 5 days per week in the Chelsea office.

- £55,000 - £60,000
