Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with suppliers for all aspects relating to the business
- Coordination of promotional activity
- Negotiation of pricing and promotional funding
- Pricing and margin management
- Range management
- Analysis of sales, suppliers and market trends
- Placing orders for all depots using sound commercial reasoning and influence to ensure maximum availability and prices
- Order placement
- Management of stockholding.
- Exercise influence over suppliers where there are shortages of stock
- Ensure certain tasks are completed in a timely manner with a high level of attention to detail
- Proofing promotional brochures for correct imagery, pricing and PORs
- Tracking and claiming retrospective monies from suppliers for supplier funded promotions
- Liaising with depots and other internal departments in regard to category matters

- Passion for Buying, Sales or Category Management
- Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally using effective influencing skills
- A strong and effective negotiator
- Quick learner that is proactive
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
