The client is a world leader in the shipping industry, employing over 100 members in their headquarters located in Nottingham. A forward thinking culture in a fast paced environment and providing innovative logistical solutions for the largest world industries in retail & FMCG based customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, sea freight & road freight solutions, which are both cost effective & time sensitive.


As a Graduate Account Manager you will be joining a team of commercial and shipping experts. The key responsibilities of the role entail:

  • As you transition into account management, you will build and grow a client portfolio using commercial information to identify organisations that have current or future recruitment needs ranging from global multi-nationals through to SME's
  • Market map to identify areas of growth/competitor spend and work to win the business
  • Develop client contact strategies and conduct business development calls
  • Schedule and attend pitches with prospective clients
  • Consult and engage with clients to understand their needs and sell the most appropriate solution for their logistics and sales needs
  • Networking in industry, sector and specialism to become an expert in your market.


The successful Graduate Account Manager will first & foremost have a passion to join the Logistics & Supply Chain sectors, along with the following extra attributes:

  • A Degree (2:1 minimum) - ideally within a Logistics, Supply Chain or Business focus
  • Work experience around sales, commercial and / or logistics & supply chain sector would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • A flair for providing high levels of engagement and customer service to high-value accounts
  • The ability to commute to Nottingham on a daily basis

Job Offer

  • £27,000-£35,000 - Basic Salary range
  • £5,000-£10,000 bonus scheme - accessible in the first year
