The role

We are seeking a professional that is passionate about improving and automating business systems via Digital Transformation. To develop systems and processes to ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial and non-financial data and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used to inform the business.

Working with the senior finance leadership team, you will manage the complete financial system portfolio for the group and determine their efficiency, supported by other team members, to ensure a smooth, efficient process with "no surprises".

As the product owner for critical Financial solutions, your goal will be to ensure that we keep our systems up to date, and working with other departments (IT, operations), ensure that we use the functionality of the applications to their full potential.

Key accountabilities

Be accountable for Finances systems, ensuring there is a roadmap in place for enhancements to develop the efficiency and productivity of the wider finance team.
Provide functional support where required for key finance systems.
Review, update and maintain financial systems policies and procedures, and resolve financial system problems
Partake in the process for product releases, coordinating cross-functional team activities during the product release cycle.
Work with stakeholders to analyse the needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
Manage the year end external audit ensuring a smooth, rapid process
Identify risks (financial / reporting) that the group may faces and advise on how to prevent, monitor, detect and resolve them.
Business Acumen required to grow a professional services practice (with appropriate support from other departments)

Skills & experience

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Experience of year end accounts preparation and auditor liaison
Knowledge of finance requirements and controls
Strong risk awareness
Strong knowledge of CODA
Ability to support digital transformation projects
Sharp mind with strong logical/analytical problem-solving capabilities
Hands-on can-do attitude with the ability to take ownership
Experience in customer facing role and comfortable communicating with stakeholders
Proven ability to support and troubleshoot data issues
Experience of translating business requirements into functional designs
Ability to communicate product requirements in a clear, structured fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences.
