Finance Income Officers

Working for a large respected charity in York, we are looking for two, reliable Finance Income Officers with recent experience of double side finance transactional processing; use of ledgers, controls and who are able to apply compliance to transactional processing as well as the ability to understand and work on finance data.

The role of Finance Income Officer includes:

  • Processing ledger transactions including cash handling and banking, invoices and income reconciliation, rents and reconciliations.
  • First line review point for ensuring income collection and billing processes have the necessary audit controls in place and monitor and report associated risks.
  • Responsibility for bank statement reconciliation and coding on a daily basis.
  • Providing a value-added end to end income collection and debt management service for a range of sites and services with a key focus on housing rent and other income collection.
  • Providing a high level of customer service to staff, stakeholders and residents requiring income collection support
  • Processing refunds and winding up of estate balances
  • Administration and reconciliation of care fees and other associated care income, including the month end reporting of arrears and completing quality checks relating to repayment and refunds

The ability to deal directly with residents and their families is essential.

Excellent working knowledge of IT packages with intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook & Word. You will also be able to work flexibly across sites and tasks. This includes 2 sites in York on a regular basis and occasional visits to Scarborough & Leeds.
