Finance Business Partner - Strategic Finance

Role Purpose

The Strategic Finance team is growing!

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Strategic Finance Business Partner to join the team, reporting to the Strategic Finance Manager. The role is based in Bury St Edmunds, with agile working included.

Our Strategic Finance team help shape, support and drive some of the most important strategic decisions in Greene King across areas such as:

The commercial & financial evaluation of Mergers & Acquisitions.
Key strategic projects across the central marketing function.
The whole strategic transformational programme.
Group wide procurement decisions.
Evaluation of disposals, single site acquisitions and freehold reversions.

Key Accountabilities

Produce financial and commercial analysis to shape the direction of strategic and central marketing projects
Create financial business cases for Exec approval
Complete post-investment appraisals of strategic projects
Support the financial and commercial development of existing brands and new brand propositions in the managed business
Assist with the financial and commercial evaluation of complex acquisition targets
Deputise for the Strategic Finance Manager as required

Preferred skills / Experience

Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
Preferable background in business partnering from a large organisation.
Capable of thriving in a fast paced, dynamic environment with varied and multiple demands
Ability to analyse complex financial and non-financial scenarios reaching logical conclusions and recommend actions in a clear, concise, and persuasive way
Strong communication skills and effective at influencing a variety of stakeholders.
Balancing short term deliverables with long term objectives in order to deliver for the business
Attention to detail alongside the capacity to see the bigger picture
Ambitious with a personal drive to succeed
