About the teamThis role is embedded at the heart of Logistics Technology. The team operates in a .NET, Kafka, Azure Cloud, Flink environment, driving multiple Logistic Transformation initiatives and integration strategies.
What you'll do- Lead and enable the delivery of technology solutions that create value, drive efficiency, and increase performance for the business.
- Line manage and guide a multi-skilled engineering team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and skills to deliver end-to-end technical solutions for products.
- Mentor and coach team members, recruit diverse talented individuals, and promote a culture of collaboration, learning, and respect.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to define the vision and technical direction of products, manage multiple deliveries, and take end-to-end ownership of products, including change and service management.
- Drive the development of new features, promote best engineering practices, and advocate for agile/lean delivery methodologies.
- Manage initiative-level budgets, ensure adherence to processes and standards, and contribute positively to a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
- A passionate and experienced engineering leader with a deep understanding of engineering practices and a talent for coaching and developing teams.
- Possess a strong understanding of technology environments, lead by example, and inspire colleagues, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Have technical expertise and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliveries, driving successful development and delivery of large-scale platforms.
- Excel in making well-informed technical decisions, implementing best practices, and managing Capex and Opex responsibilities.
