About the Role:

As a Divisional Sales Manager, the purpose of your role is to lead a team of field based Sales Designers You will act as a brand ambassador and bring the Hammonds values alive whilst ensuring all Sales Designers deliver an excellent customer experience and work to best practice standards You will inspire customers to buy our fitted furniture solutions which meet their needs and wants and live by our values of being real, creative and committed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving weekly sales and financial KPI’s/targets to include sales conversion, profit margin, discount levels, average order value.
  • Analyse all sales information and report results, trends and indicators.
  • Recruitment and retention of Sales Designers for your Region.
  • Continually coach your team to build skills and capabilities through one-to-one sessions, training programmes, meetings and coaching visits so that individuals are able to achieve their personal goals and fulfil their potential.
  • Direct engagement with customers to influence the buying decision and ensure target beating performance.

What it takes:

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 5 years strong and proven background within a similar or Sales Manager role within a similar business. You should be results orientated, with a creative and strategic mindset alongside a passion to succeed.

You should also;

  • The ability to lead high performing teams and drive excellence in terms of sales performance
  • Be highly proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Be analytical and a natural problem solver.
  • Be able to prioritise tasks whilst under pressure to deliver results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.


  • A valid UK driving license and access to your own transport.
  • During key trading periods, you should be willing to work additional hours.


As a Divisional Sales Manager you will benefit from a competitive base salary of Circa £50,000 per annum and an OTE potential of up to £124K per annum, you will receive31 days annual holiday (including 8 bank holidays) and contributory pension scheme. As well as;
