Our principle points of sale are marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay etc. where third party suppliers are encouraged to advertise their products and make them available to the customer bases of those brands. The Director of IT Opportunity:
As the Director of IT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our IT strategy and ensuring the seamless operation of our technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled IT professionals, managing key projects, and implementing IT best practices.
You will be joining at a time of business growth and will be part of the transformation of the organisation to achieve operational and cultural excellence in everything where IT plays a pivotal role. This opportunity will be best suited to a hands-on IT leader, happy initially investing time in the detail whilst concurrently (and increasingly over time) operating at senior management team level.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will cover a range of elements including:
+ Strategic Leadership
+ Team Management
+ Infrastructure / Governance / Risk Management
+ Project Oversight
+ Vendor and Budget Management
About you:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
+ Working experience in technical software development and management ( ideally 7+ years) as well as significant experience (ideally 5+ years) working in a Head of IT department or role
+ Familiarity with KPIs and OKRs, and experience in implementing and tracking them
+ Excellent knowledge of cloud computing, business intelligence, ITIL, Agile and DevOps
+ In depth knowledge and experience of cybersecurity, risk, and operations management
+ Experience in SQL DB management
+ Excellent communication and listening skills
+ Strong budgeting and financial management skills
+ Demonstrable track record in negotiation and complex problem-solving skills
+ Ability to lead change management and handle changing priorities
+ Ability to think about the future direction and strategy whilst implementing quick wins and delivering business value in a cost effective and agile manner
