The Digital Copywriter will lead the copy creation and maintenance across digital channels, working collaboratively with internal teams and Online Artworkers to plan and create on-brand, creative and engaging content.
The role will be required to proofread, edit and own sign-off for all online content before publishing, ensuring a consistent approach to copy is considered across owned digital and print production channels.
Attention to detail is key as the Online Content Copywriter is responsible for maintaining existing website content and its associated properties, as well as being presented in accordance with both brand and campaign guidelines.

What you'll do
Leading the content creation for all campaigns across (url removed), working closely with the Online Design Officer to identify copy requirements within an overall campaign brief and executing this within the overall design of each campaign.
Planning and maintaining content across the recipe website, working closely with the Creative Projects and Campaigns teams to manage the content schedule
Planning and copywriting for weekly/seasonal newsletters for both Lidl GB and Lidl Plus, working collaboratively to present and agree themes based upon weekly promotions, seasonal campaigns, company messaging and other offers/information relevant for our customer base
Creating and maintaining all product description copy, regularly reviewing this to ensure that all content, accurately reflects the products and promotions that we are supporting online
Managing a schedule of always-on content for (url removed), identifying content which needs updating and directing other members of the team to support in updating the page content, i.e. About Us.
Proof reading and refining the content across the website, newsletters and Lidl apps
Maintain efficiencies in online/newsletter workflows by building out and maintaining a bank of copy-lines which can be accessed and used by digital content creators and art-workers
Building a relationship and working closely with the lead creative agency and other copywriters within the department to ensure close strategic alignment with Lidl Tone of Voice (TOV)
What you'll need
Experience writing online content with a focus on SEO, ideally in a retail e-commerce environment
Experience uploading, reviewing and checking preview content to the system
Some experience managing a content schedule is highly beneficial
Ability to brief creative colleagues is desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A creative thinker and idea generator with a strong creative eye and copywriting skills
Excellent team player with a collaborative approach to working
Ability to adapt quickly and react to shifting priorities
Excellent attention to detail and ability to self-motivate
German language skills are beneficial but not essential
