A top-tier independent insurance Broker is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial broker to take the next step in their career and oversee a team of Account Handlers whilst managing complex portfolio of their own clients.

The Broking Manager will act as a day to day referral point for any technical queries within the team, allocate renewals and new business and generally ensure the smooth running of the team.

The role will include mentoring and coaching the team members drawing from your extensive technical abilities.

The successful candidate will also manage their own book of mid-market UK retail business, premiums typically £10k – £50k.

Additionally the Manager will assist the Senior Leadership team with duties such as recruitment, induction, onboarding and appraisals.

Whilst a proven background in management is desirable, a Senior broker looking to take the leap into leadership will also be considered.

Strong communication, networking and relationship management skills are sought along with broad cross-class commercial knowledge
