We are working with one of the biggest and most established prison education service providers in the UK, looking for a Multi-skilled Construction or Multi Skilled Maintenance Tutor to take on a fantastic opportunity teaching in the very rewarding sector of prison educator. The Multi-skilled Construction Tutor role is offered one on an ongoing temporary sessional basis, on an hourly rate of £25.62.
The role is based near Wigan, working with adults aged 18 and above in an offender learning setting.
Planning and delivering a construction course.
You will be working, and teaching students, who are keen to learn, in a secure Prison Education environment.
With groups of 5 10 with the focus is towards preparing students for on-site employment.
Engaging, enthusing, and motivating the students to take ownership of their learning.
Enabling skills and knowledge growth towards employment and certification.
Developing personalised learning plans to give learners the skills, knowledge and understanding needed in their longer-term goals and employment.

Experienced construction professionals without an education background are welcome.

Level 3 Qualification in construction and any other relevant qualifications.
A relevant teaching qualification equivalent to PTTLS Level 3 is desirable.
