We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Buyer within our growing Supply Chain Team.

In a nutshell, you will be responsible for:

Managing the supply of components and finished goods to support service levels of 96% whilst ensuring our inventory level remains in line with business targets. Provide analytical support to mitigate risk and support business cost-saving initiatives.

What you are already great at:

  • Manage Purchase Orders and the supply of components to achieve the agreed service level.

  • Ensure purchase orders are released promptly as per the order cycle/MRP.

  • Ensure that all purchase orders have an accurate delivery date and are not overdue.

  • Expedite purchase orders with suppliers in line with MRP requirements, review exception messages in MRP and act accordingly.

  • Monitor demand plan changes and make adjustments as necessary, manage supplier order books to ensure alignment of data.

  • Take action to address late deliveries and shortages, report and action any material availability issues which could impact the manufacturing schedule.

  • Analyse lead times, order cycles, MOQs, and lot sizes, and make proposals for rationalisation to reduce and optimise inventory.

  • Provide analytical support to the Supply chain team/management to include but not limited to; Delivery Performance, Stock Outs, Shortages, Supplier Spend, Inventory Levels and What If Scenario s.

  • Attending daily production meetings, liaising with other internal stakeholders throughout the business on any supply shortages with contingency where required

  • Champion & communicate any quality issue with components while liaising with Supplier Quality Department

For this role we would need you to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years supply chain experience ideally within purchasing with commodity experience.

  • Experience of working with an ERP / MRP systems.

  • Excellent admin skills.

  • Good analytical skills required, ability to interpret numerical data using Excel and other tools.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
