1 year FTC for Indirects Buyer from Manufacturing environment
Procurement Heads' Industrial team is working with a well-respected manufacturing organisation in north Oxfordshire.
We are looking for an Indirects Buyer for a 1 year fixed term contract. Looking for an immediate start.
The Indirects Buyer will work closely with the Senior Procurement Specialist looking after spend across Capex, Opex and MRO.
You will build relationships across the business through working closely with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure value and services for this manufacturing site.
As Indirects Buyer you will be responsible for;
- Manage projects within Indirect Spend: Including both operational expenses (Opex) and capital expenditures (Capex). Identify short-term cost-saving opportunities through spot buy reductions and long-term value through strategic sourcing activities.
- Advocate Procurement and Sourcing: Act as a representative for the centralised procurement team in the indirect spend category for both technical and non-technical expenditures. Promote the benefits of procurement and sourcing, showcasing the added value for the business.
- Implement Purchasing Processes: Serve as a constant reference for stakeholders and internal customers by spreading and implementing effective purchasing processes.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust supplier relationships. Focus on reducing costs and eliminating inefficiencies throughout the procurement cycle.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analyses to identify opportunities to improve the supplier base. Ensure alignment with the sourcing policy to find the best possible alternatives.
- Strategic Development: Develop strategies and tactics in collaboration with business units to provide our company with a competitive advantage in technology and cost.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in managing indirect spend, preferably from a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in purchasing processes and procurement cycle management.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary 45-50k
- Flexible hybrid working. 1-2 days a week on site
