A superb opportunity for a Commercial Business Unit Head has arisen in our Yogurt and Desserts business for a results driven, highly focused individual with extensive sales experience. Reporting into the Commercial Director, the role will lead the Business Unit and the delivery of key commercial objectives, as well as supporting the development and implementation of Muller UK Commercial Strategy and Category Vision.

In this role the key responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the Business Unit to ensure Muller is the No.1 Dairy supplier, being recognised as such by the customer
  • Developing a high performing team who are able to deliver outstanding results with one of our biggest and most complex customers
  • Implement a shared 3 year vision for the Yogurts and Desserts category in the relevant retailer channel
  • Implement annual trading terms to deliver Muller and customer commercial objectives with individual category and format specific business plans
  • Take a lead role in shaping and implementing the UK commercial strategy and category vision by working closely with key functions across the business
  • Management of Profit and Loss
  • Over achievement of annual sales and profit account plan, cash collection, forecast accuracy
Key skills & experience
  • A strong leader who is hands on and is passionate about the product and their people.
  • An individual who has created and brought products to market
  • A proven and successful track record operating at a senior level dealing with UK retail, convenience, wholesale and Out of Home channels.
  • A broad knowledge of Sales, Category Management, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain required as this position is the main collaborator with internal/external customers.
  • Able to analyse business opportunities / leverage knowledge of customer's business, goals and culture to provide WIN: WIN solutions.
  • Experience of building and maintaining high performing teams.
  • Good understanding of UK Dairy industry at a regional level, or equivalent industry experience (in managing commodities like Milk/Bread).
  • Experience of developing and executing commercial strategies.
  • Good understanding of E2E supply chain within direct to store logistics and RDC models, plus 3rd party routes to market via national and OOH and wholesale channels.
  • Ability to work across all departments utilising resources to generate results and continued growth of the OOH/Convenience/Wholesale accounts.
