As an Assistant Director of Finance at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, we expect from you:

  • Financial Controls & Procedures: Oversee the development and administration of financial controls and accounting procedures in line with MOHG policies, GAAP, and local legal requirements.
  • Audit & Statutory Accounts Management: Manage statutory accounts and maintain the relationship with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Profitability & Performance Analysis: Identify opportunities to enhance hotel profitability and lead the preparation of exception reports and analyses to track financial success.
  • Timely Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely compilation of all financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, addressing variances and recommending improvements.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage day-to-day operations in the finance department, promote sound financial decision-making, and mentor junior team members.

To be a successful Assistant Director of Finance candidate, you will have previous experience within a similar role in a luxury hospitality environment, you will have managed a small team, and have worked with SUN system, and a PoS and PMS system. Previous experience with payroll is also desirable.
