We are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant for our client, a local company in the Oldbury area. As a Finance Manager, you will be faced with a variety of duties to ensure a smooth running of the financial side to the business.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
- Manage post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the team.
- Leading year end accounting responsibilities.
- Managing end to end audit process of current systems while acting as the point of contact for external auditors.
- Continually identify risks to delivery, propose solutions where necessary and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout.
- Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Management accounting experience required.
- Syteline
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
- Strong communication (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail, organised and results orientated.
- Drive and ambition with a can-do attitude
- Financial control principles
- Knowledge of manufacturing / Commercial environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and be influential and positive.
Other Requirements
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, organised and methodical.
- Ability to support other front office teams with administration in planning, system updates.
